In order for Choice Lettings to continue to provide an excellent service to applicants wishing to rent a property in any of the Watford postal districts, the following procedures and requirements need to be adhered to:

 

- Full name and telephone numbers to be given when making an appointment to view a property. Please ensure that you arrive at the office or at the property, punctually at the pre-arranged time

- When you decide to rent a property, it is necessary for each applicant over the age of 18 to complete a reference form and to pay an administration charge. Should the landlord not proceed with the let, this administration charge will be refunded

- References are carried out by an Homelet and generally take 48 hours to complete

- Once the landlord has agreed to let the property, we shall prepare the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements and forward the Homelet Quick Quote insurance cover for your contents and for any damage to your landlord's building and contents

- Generally one month's rent as a deposit and one month's rent in advance is the minimum requirement to rent a property. This payment must be made in cleared funds, on or before the commencement of the tenancy

- The deposit will be forwarded to The Deposit Protection Service

When agreements have been signed and witnessed and all monies cleared, we shall hand-over the keys of the property
